Top-level golf has found a home at INFINITUM. We are proud to have hosted the
ECCO Tour Spring Series championship. For 12 days, our golf courses were the epicenter of this major international sporting event, with three thrilling tournaments that challenged some of Europe's best emerging golf talents.
Thanks to the outstanding facilities at our
golf resort, the Costa Dorada became the preferred destination for
golf enthusiasts to enjoy high-level competition in a dreamlike setting, complemented by INFINITUM’s exceptional services and amenities.
Three tournaments, three thrilling finales
The
ECCO Tour Spring Series kicked off on February 23 with the INFINITUM Spanish Masters, where Denmark’s Oliver Hundebøll Jørgensen claimed victory in an exciting playoff against Albin Tiden and Edoardo Molinari. The Lakes course played a key role, with its strategic water hazards demanding extreme precision and control.
On February 27, the
INFINITUM Championship took place, ending once again with a playoff. This time, Swedish player Tobias Edén showcased his talent by making a
birdie on the final hole, defeating Jeppe Kristian Andersen in the playoff.
The
ECCO Tour INFINITUM Spring Series Final was held from March 3 to 5. The level of play in this edition was outstanding. Every shot demonstrated great tactical quality, with players fighting to the very end — resulting in consecutive playoffs across all three tournaments. In the final,
Søren Kjeldsen, a four-time DP World Tour winner, faced off against Spain’s
Pep Angles. After an electrifying match, Kjeldsen claimed the title. Excitement peaked when Angles forced the playoff with
a stunning eagle on the final hole.
A prestigious setting for professional golf
Since its opening in 2008,
INFINITUM has hosted top-tier golf events, including the
DP World Tour Qualifying School. Its prime location on the Costa Dorada, just minutes from Barcelona, combined with the strategic design of its courses and modern facilities, makes it an unmatched destination for players and fans alike.
Hosting the
ECCO Tour Spring Series at our resort is a great honor and further solidifies our reputation as one of the Top 10 best golf courses in Europe and as a venue for numerous high-level international championships. With the
Hills course undergoing renovations by European Golf Design, ECCO Tour players enjoyed a unique experience across the Hills, Ruins, and Lakes courses, designed by sporting legend Greg Norman.
"It has been a pleasure to welcome so many talented players to our courses. Watching them compete at the highest level inspires us to continue improving and providing the best possible conditions," said Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Deputy General Manager of Golf at INFINITUM.
Our commitment to excellence has positioned us as a
leading destination in European golf, not only for the quality of our courses but also for our dedication to developing sporting talent — in this case, across Europe.
Looking ahead to ECCO Tour 2026
The success of this first edition at INFINITUM was so significant that the
ECCO Tour organization has already confirmed its return in 2026. Players, attendees, and organizers alike praised the facilities and the exceptional experience offered at our exclusive resort.
"This has been our best Spring Series to date. The level of the players, the condition of the courses, and INFINITUM’s hospitality have been exceptional. We can’t wait to return in 2026!" said Flemming Astrup, owner and director of the ECCO Tour.
At INFINITUM, we are proud to host events like the ECCO Tour, where the
quality of play meets the excitement of the game and the stunning natural surroundings of our golf courses. We continue to work tirelessly to reinforce
our position as one of Europe’s premier golf destinations.
